Dear Friend,
My name is Chuck Johns, sole proprietor of Chuck Johns Services. You
may have heard about me on WELI every weekend. Since we have cleaned
over 30,000 carpets in the last 17 years I'm sure many of your friends,
neighbors, and business associates know me! My "business" philosophy is
perhaps a bit naive in that I do not separate business decisions from
personal values. In other words I feel it is important to treat
customers as I would treat friends. This is evidenced by the fact that
over 70% of our business is from repeat customers and referrals.
How Does Dry Carpet Cleaning Work?
We use the Host dry extraction method. It leaves carpets dry when we leave.
The dry cleaning compound is composed of tiny sponges that are treated with
shampoos, mild dry solvents, disinfectants, and deodorants. The amazing little
yellow sponges are brushed into your carpet with a high powered machine and
they remarkably turn brown as they absorb dirt and soil. Dust mites and other

Don't Soak Your Upholstery With Water Either!
Our upholstery cleaning method does not soak your fine fabric. We start by taking a very
high quality commercial shampoo and working up a rich, foamy lather. Obviously the use of
foam uses a lot less moisture than shooting straight diluted shampoo (not a foam) into your
upholstery under high pressure. That is what steam cleaning or hot water extraction does.
We then agitate the foam into your upholstery with a non abrasive sponge and immediately
extract the moisture with a wet vac to pull out the dirt and soil. This leaves a minimum
amount of moisture in your upholstery while still taking advantage of gently scrubbing
the fabric. The result is thoroughly cleaned upholstery without soaking it!
Summary:
- We use foam to clean (low moisture).
- The shampoo based foam breaks up dirt and soil.
- We gently agitate with a sponge to further break up dirt and soil.
- We extract the dirt and soil with a wet vac.
- Results in clean but not soaked upholstery.
